9:00 a.m.           Gulf Coast Bird Observatory - Almost 300 species of Migratory Birds depend on   coastal habitat as they travel between the U.S. and Latin America twice a year.
The GCBO welcomes the avid birder to visit and learn of their research and educational center.   The Xtreme Hummingbird Xtravangaza is held annually in September.

10:00 a.m.         Center for the Arts & Sciences – 400 College Drive, Clute
 EXPLORE the Center that is home of the largest seashell collection in the south.  Other displays are fossils, dinosaurs and a full- size masasaur.  The longest running community theater on the Texas Gulf Coast offers five major productions each season.  Planetarium shows featuring reclined seats under a domed ceiling and a Spitz star projector. Beautiful gallery exhibits art by internationally recognized artists. Museum & Gallery free admission.  Open Tues.-Sat. 10 a.m. -5 p.m.

1:30                  YellowStone Paddle Wheeler – Enjoy a leisurely hour and half tour of the Freeport Harbor on the open-air decks of the YellowStone Paddlewheeler.  The 72-foot YellowStone is a true paddlewheeler, there is no conventional propeller- - the red wheel on the back of the boat propels it.  Tour Fees.  www.yellowstoneboat.com

Sea Center Texas is the largest red drum and saltwater hatchery in the world and home to the 350-pound grouper named “Gordon”.  Free to the public.  Open Tues-Sat 9-4;
