9:30 – 10:00 Arrive at MKT Depot Visitors Center, tour the restored 1898 MKT Railroad Depot museum, information available about other activities in the area, 1 structure. (Restrooms available)
10:00 – 11:30 Tour Katy Heritage Park, The Wright Museum filled with exhibits of Katy and Texas history and art, The Featherston House restored and decorated as if a family lived in it around the turn of the century. Other buildings under current restoration may be open for tour. Donations appreciated.
Then visit the adjacent City of Katy museum, many vintage farm implements and automobiles, other displays, free. Restrooms available.
Then visit the adjacent "G.I. Joe Museum" in V.F.W. Park features exhibits of every foreign conflict involving the U.S. Includes displays for men and women from every branch of the armed forces who served in combat. Contributions appreciated.
11:30 – 12:30 Enjoy lunch at one of the eateries in town, $6/up. Recommendations/ reservations can be made for you.
12:30 – 2:00 Shop historic Katy. Local antique shops and small boutiques in the historic town square area.
2:00 – 4:15 Stop by the Katy Mills Outlet mall for bargains and great deals. Bass Pro Shop, Neiman Marcus Outlet, More….
